A Multipurpose Bonding agent and admixture

DESCRIPTION

Polywed’s PVA Bond is a versatile, general-purpose bonding agent, primer, surface sealer, and admixture.
It is a medium-viscosity, externally plasticized vinyl acetate homopolymer stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol, specifically formulated for the construction industry.
It enhances adhesion, workability, and surface integrity when used with cementitious materials such as concrete, plasters, and mortars, and also serves as a reliable multi-purpose adhesive for internal building applications.

SCOPE OF USE

Enhances Concrete mixtures – Strengthens adhesion in Substrates

Instruction of use

1- Where Bond PVA should be used, the substrate should be sound, clean and free contamination. Dilute the bond by Adding water (1-part Bond PVA to 4 parts water)
2- Using an electronic mixer, mix the diluted water for 3 minutes. more water could be added to achieve the required workability.
3- Add the diluted bond to the cementitious mixture and mix very well
4- Mix well once again with an electronic mixer for 3 minutes.
5- Application:
5a. Cement screeds and plasters bonding agent: Porous surfaces should be sealed using the bond, by brushing vigorously unto the prepared surfaces making sure to fil all pores and voids and allow it to get dry. Make sure to apply the plaster or repair mortar whilst the applied coating is still tacky.
5b. Sealer coat and dust proofing: Diluted Bond PVA (1part Bond PVA to 4 parts water) should be applied by brush over the target surface and allowed to dry. Note: for porous surfaces other coat should be applied to assure appropriate seal.
5c. Admixture in cement/ sand screeds: Use it as an admixture in cement/ sand screeds in both light traffic and heavy traffic areas.

2. Tensile adhesion strength 1.5 N/mm2

Storage

Original sealed container has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground and moisture and in a dry shaded place around 25°C.
